Facebook timeline contained an anecdote about a woman who survived Covid-19. The doctors tell her that several of her important organs (lungs, kidney, heart) may never be the same, and in fact that she’d be lucky to have 80% of her prior lung capacity. Dying is not the only bad outcome! In fact, it might be well to think of this as being more like polio (if you’re my age or up) than anything more recent: Lots of people are still dealing with the aftermath (if they’re alive at all).
