Good for both of them - they are showing growth and compassion.

Annie might just raise Lila up to be an adult yet.

Yes, yes I do, Fer Lefer. LOL. Call you local newspaper and ask that they add “LIla” to their comic pages :-)

JWF, we don’t have a local daily paper any more. I was introduced to Lila online and have looked forward to each and every strip.

The arcs in this strip are what many of us face daily. Thank you for your courage and compassion.

Thanks to all of you who contacted your local papers, and of course thank you, everyone, for reading Lila on GoComics! I really appreciate your support and enjoy writing for you each day. I think newspapers struggle with the idea of publishing Lila because it features a very “alternative family.” They fear repercussions from their older readers. But then, that also could be why they’re not getting younger readers. Oh, well…vicious cycle…

Great story, JWF, great characters. I’ve enjoyed this strip since I discovered it on GoComics a few years ago.

I was pleased to see that others compared you to “Funky Winkerbean.” - as I do. It is a great compliment, and your work will not go unnoticed forever.

JWF: Here’s one older reader (in my 70’s) who enjoys Lila every day. Keep up the good work.
