In 2014, once the merchandise was liquidated, all Loehmann’s stores were closed and Esopus Creek, the private equity fund which had bought the rights to the Loehmann’s name, continued to operate the company as an online retailer. On August 4, 2018, loehmanns.com ceased operations after a period of showing an “under construction” page.

Leohmann’s was truly the Valhalla for all shopping warriors. My best deal: A pair of gorgeous Clerergie sandals for 29.95 (which sold in regular stores for $230).

I was around in the 90s but I don’t know what this comic is about. Barbara Boxer, maybe? It doesn’t look anything like Barbara Bush.

One of the running jokes in our family, if an article of clothing didn’t fit properly, was: “I see Mom’s been shopping at Loehmann’s again!”
