Seems to me like the rocks are in his head.

I didn’t understand the gag when I was seven years old and I don’t understand it now. Is it a chewing tobacco reference?

My dad used to say, “you’ve got rocks in your head”. What sport was he referring to?

My old little league coach always put a small pebble in his mouth during games, weird! Is there any folklore with this?

Well, it just might be a safe way to be stoned! :D

But no crying in baseball.

Rocks in the mouth is suppose to help in preventing the feeling of being thirsty, but using a rock in a sport other than track it would seem it would cause more problems than just simply drinking a hydrating liquid.

Either way ya’ got rocks in your head…

And what about hockey? Players spit so much they don’t need the Zamboni to resurface the ice…

Also if you want to work the fast food drive-thru window.

What happened to the strip for June 26th?

The originals ran until 1970, so there still are a few years left in the file. Break could be due to CV-19 problems.

Stuck on this strip. Two days now…

No strip for the 27th over at Id. Maybe the licencing expired.
