Back in olden times, when visiting relatives was OK, I would have to take the Schuylkill to visit my sister and her family in Mt. Airy (I live in South Jersey). Can’t believe I’m saying this, but I actually miss the Surekill Expressway!

you would think with her money they would have a motor boat.
We go up to Portland once a week, but we take the old highway, not I5/205. Much nicer drive and rarely busy.
The Schuylkill designated as a “River” always made me scratch my head because it is more like a large crick (creek) to me.
Wow. I understand that . .
is the “surekill” still around? remember you could get to Philly on that IF…
