I’ve often wondered about Dusty’s backstory. He has mentioned lots of things he did in his younger years, but I’m thinking more about what he was doing in the last decade or so before Darlene shipped him off to Elderpark. For example, is the cabin (and perhaps a small ranch with pasture for Esmeralda) his, or is he a retired or semi-retired wrangler for someone else, living on their larger ranch? Also, someone had to be responsible for Esmeralda after he left, at least until he had her moved to be closer to Elderpark. I know, it’s just a comic and there isn’t any real backstory, but I find it fun to think about.
