I always thought it was spelled âk-i-e-s-t-e-râ, âcause the way itâs in the panel, the correct pronounciation would have it rhyming with âshysterâ. Or maybe thatâs all those years of studying German coming back on me.
My dadâs mom was a Keister, and her brother lived above a sort of small canyon in Montana. Another family happened to have the last name Butts and lived on above the other side. They were all friends with the people that lived in the canyon and they would all joke that those people lived in the crack between the Butts and the Keisters.
