The Elderberries by Corey Pandolph and Phil Frank and Joe Troise for May 14, 2021
Transcript:
Boone: That's right, General. When I enlisted, I was only allowed to work in the galley of my submarine. The General: Gee...I'd forgotten about how things were in World War II... Boone: That changed in '44. We came under a depth-charge attack. Lot of sailors got injured. We were forced to surface. That's when they found out Boone could dish it out with a machine gun, as well as a souple ladle. Yessir! On Veteran's Day, the discussion continues at Elderpark

We assume that Boone did the same training as any other soldier so he’d know how to use a weapon. The question is – do all soldiers get ladle training?
