My kids understood from day one. They could be homosexual, they could marry someone of any race, gender, religion, or whatever other weird thing they could come up with— possibly even backing the wrong football team ( and this was in Texas!) but bring home a Republican and you’re out of the will.

Actually, one cannot vote Republican anymore. That party is dead. All that is left is the MAGA cult, and they are anathema to core Republican values.
