That 1945 Sunday is wild. Back in the TMS Message Board days, one of the alternate storylines I wrote there involved Gus (aka “Little Skeezix”) trying to earn some spending money and ending up mowing lawns. Gus was 14 at the time and I wrote it as a reaction to him and his twin sister being drawn as perpetual nine-year-olds. (They’re 27 now!)
