I’ll provide the WASP rejoinder (minus the Protestant designation, as religion doesn’t enter into the discussion, thank goodness): “Well then, fellows, let us put aside any differences we may perceive and venture forth into the void” Or to put it in my own words, “There ain’t no race in space”.
As MAD Magazine pointed out once, when someone makes a joke about his own ethnic group, members call him a wit, but if someone from another ethnic group tells the very same joke about the very same group, members of it call him a bigot.
Jokes are one thing, outright discrimination is another. Make fun of me all you want to for laughs; I’ll do it back to you. But slam a door in my face and you’ll have problems.
These two [ethnicity of your choice] come walking out of a bar, and boy are they drunk. One of them looks up and slurs, “Is that the moon, or a streetlamp?” The other slurs back, “I don’t know. I’m not from this neighborhood.”

If you’re Caucasian or male, you can’t go snowflake. And my personal ‘visible minority’, southpaws, we’re better than that!

Generally ethnic jokes that originate in the ethnic group the joke is about are funny.

Two jokes walk into a bar. “I thought you brought the punchline.”
