He got his knife, but cut his bonds instead of attacking his leg and freeing himself? The pygmy isn’t too bright, is he..

Pygmies don’t seem to have the total idea of the whole jail concept.

I’m thinking this would not have happened. It was ok til the knife part.

Well, Tarzan can’t lock the pygmy up to keep him from telling the guards that he escaped seeing as how the pygmy can easily slip through the bars.

The pygmy unsheathed Tarzan’s knife, and stabbed Tarzan 27 times. Tarzan bled out in less than 3 minutes…the end.

Wait! He has his father’s knife still?

In all the jails, prisons, hoosegows, lock-ups and other assorted durance I have endured, they have never yet let me keep my sheathknife … not even once.

I think a quick audit of their prison procedures is in order.

The issue was addressed once that I can recall in the books. In Tarzan the Invincible,it says the Oparians overlooked his knife because it was hidden by the tail of his leopard skin loin cloth. Many times it was taken away, only to show up later—the knife of his long dead sire

There is absolutely no logical way, short of some hitherto unknown great ape mind meld, that we can get from Tarzan having his foot on the guard’s head to Tarzan turning his back on the guard and then the guard, who is basically on the other side of the bars, panic stricken or not, uses the knife to cut Tarzan’s hands free. No way!

Thank goodness Tarzan didn’t put any pressure on his neck! He could get in big trouble for that!

The Pygmy unsheathed his Knife? They let him keep his knife? The knife he kills lions with? But this is fantasy, no?
