I suspect folks were thinking of classical artists. Most folks don’t think of of comic artists as “real” artists (sorry Jon). Those of us on GoComics know how essential you guys really are.
All Artists are absolutely essential. They are the ones who reveal the beauty of the world in ways the rest of us may have never even considered. Yet all too often they are overlooked.
Artists of every sort are struggling these days. Visual artists have had art fairs cancelled, and galleries closed. Actors, musicians, singers. and dancers have no stages on which to perform. Many of these people have found creative ways to reach an audience on-line. If you happen to come across them while wandering the web, please do what you can to support them. Although it won’t pay the bills, even a note of thanks lets them know that what they do is appreciated.

Followed by politicians and lobbyist.
Coincidentally, scientists have linked the glut of politicians and lobbyists to global warming and depletion of the ozone layer.
During the COVID pandemic, and politicians and lobbyists were shut-in, global CO and CO2 dropped.
Now that politicians and lobbyists are returning to their haunts, CO and CO2 levels are rising at an alarming rate.
