    We can be generous, help each other, help other creatures, nurture, explore, and understand. Many, maybe most of us actually do those things.

    What we have the most trouble with is opening our minds; and the venomous few are very good at exploiting this.

    the problem is intolerance for compromise. both sides view compromise as ‘surrender’ so refuse to budge, refuse to try and resolve issues just stand there and tell the other they are jerks (and worse)
