Whiskey translates to “water of life” in Gaelic!

    Yeah. So what’s your point?

Seeing as how Coye’s ploy was two months ago, did his sturgeon become quite a meal?

I used to love that Nintendo Tetris game. I could never get past level 10 though

Guiness records credit Russian cosmonaut Aleksandr Serebrov as the player during his 1993 mission aboard MIR. But according to an autographed letter that accompanied the game boy device in a 2011 auction, he seldom played for more than a few minutes at a time during rest breaks. So I doubt the scores will ever be known.

Tetris would have been easy; without gravity, the blocks wouldn’t fall near as fast!

I would think the strength of the fishing pole and line matters more than the weight of the person fishing.

I know that a sip now and then is great. But “water of life?”

    Take care and gesundheit.

It’s uisge Beatha in Gaelic. I’ll just ask for “Whusky” when I visit.

The fishing story is “good for her”, but not worthy of BION.

WHERE & WHEN did he catch the sturgeon? These items are always interesting but it would be great to have just a little bit more info.

I was crestfallen as a kid (well, 27, but still) when I found out that Vodka in Russian basically translates to “water.”

I have the book Water of Life by Henry Morton Robinson, 1960; it’s about a family that produced a fine whiskey. Same author who wrote The Cardinal. Very good books, available on Amazon.

I’m pretty sure vodka is also “water of life” in Russian, strong alcohol always seems to get called water of life. Could that be because of medicinal properties it has? Like as a disinfectant?

Coye is still way behind Kegan Rothman, a 9-year-old boy (in 2015) from New Jersey.

The fish story shows the guy doing the weekend comic was ready to head home early.
