This is like when Han Solo parked the Millennium Falcon on the asteroid to hide from the Star Destroyer. But then Leia saw a mynock on the outside of the ship. Han and Leia went out to investigate and walked around the ground was very moist. Han put two and two together and zipped the ship out before being swallowed by the giant space slug.
Thanks Tim for bringing to mind this classic scene http://www.starwars.com/movies/episode-v/chronicles20100325.html
Night-Gaunt49: Whatever magic machine (and high tech is indistinguishable from magic) is generating gravity for the Sirius must be leaking gravity, causing the monster’s saliva (hope it’s saliva) to fall toward the station.
Cartoon science always works as needed.

In space no one can hear you say, “Dammit, I just washed the car!”
