Councilman Hilburn; Your recycling could be a serious threat to our beloved seagull's nesting grounds: the town dump. Councilman Hilburn; And think about this. No seagulls equal fewer car washes. Fewer car washes equal fewer jobs. Councilman Hilburn; Fewer jobs equal more crime, your recycling program will condemn our fair town to chaos. Councilman Hilburn; Citizens will flee in panic... Roads will fall into disrepair... Fires will rage remorselessly... Adam; The good news is, if there are zombies, you'll be safe.

Or the landfill workers could go back to school and learn to work in recycling. Maby even near the landfill. Still, recycling wouldn’t eliminate the need for a landfill, so it would probably create more jobs in the long run.

Seagulls don’t eat paper, plastic or glass. They eat garbage which still goes to the landfill. Recycling enriches their selection.

I do recycle but it’s also a racket for trash companies to make money. The companies sort through all of the garbage. All you’re doing with that bin is making their job easier. Plus they sell all of it.

Hilburn forgot to mention death panels and anchor babies.

Seagulls? Really? They need to get back to what nature intended them to eat. Didn’t think Adam and family lived near the ocean.

@cbrsarah - seagulls live all around the Great Lakes, too, and they’re worse than pigeons ‘cause they’re agressive. Rats with feathers.
