I wonder if the blanky is a metaphor for the battle between two comics syndicates for control of this strip.

“What part of ‘Mine, leggo’ are you having trouble understanding?”

Doug in panel 2 is easier to understand than Sophie in panel1, so he wins

Please, please let me know of DED is staying with “Go Comics” site. I just saw the very small print on the print comics page of the Montreal Gazette with the oblique announcement that DED is retiring. I AM SO VERY UPSET…things are bad enough without my daily dose of DED. AAAAAARGH!!!

Yeah, if you say too many words you might just end up right back where you started.

Brian: I don’t know how I missed it..but DED is no longer available in print via the Montreal Gazette. Does this mean it’s gone and lost forever in print? And will it remain on “Go Comics”? Can the world get any worse, especially without DED?

Reminds me of the classic battles between Linus and Snoopy for the blanket!

Brian: I’ve been accessing DED for ages via “Go Comics” and have enjoyed reading the comments from fellow fans. My newspaper editor wrote back saying that she was told that Brian Anderson has retired. I sent her pschearer’s link…she promises to investigate. A day without DED is not worth waking up. Fingers crossed that I can get this great strip back into my city’s print newspaper.
