Peppermint Patty was my kind of kid. When I was growing up there were girls and then there were other kids who just happened to be girls.

Trivia: Patty Peppermint’s real name is Patricia Reinhardt, according to today’s Ripley’s Believe it or Not strip.

She would have been better sleeping on the living room couch!

And I blame Patty’s father, but that’s injecting too much reality into a comic.

Since Peppermint Patty was initially described as living on the other side of town, and attending a different school, this would be an example of her living her own little world, by assuming that her teacher knows who ‘Chuck’ is. Much like her still thinking that Snoopy is human- until Marcie snaps and screams the truth in her face. Of course, Marcie has her own perception problems, continuing to call her ‘Sir’ after being constantly asked not to.

Either that girl is stupid or she has a mental problem.
