    And when his bucket is also full he still won’t have caught a single one.

    makes one wonder how come Andy — when fishing at a pier — always catches guppies instead of whoppers

    @Number Three Today’s strip IS funny again, M,G&G are on a winning streak , our HERO Mr Andrew Capp pontificating to Flo about the fine points of fishing ,while she is reeling them in without Andy catching a tiddler is worthy of the master:o) my avatar is of two cats looking down at a human who has fallen from a ladder and not landed on his feet like they would reminds me of how I hate ladders since the accident I had with my thumb ,how was your day at the seaside? our Finally Friday should be busy but calm I hope, and this evening we’ll be having my fav nosh so all’s fine with our world ,stay safe and do I sense romance in the air? BCNU pal

    Flo needs to worry about being downhearted?

    They, the nutritionists, say that eating lots of fish is good food for the brain. It doesn’t seem to work for those two though.

    Andy’s luck in fishing is as “good” as his luck with the horses!

    That could be a picture of my mom and dad. Dad would try every lure in his tacklebox, hoping to land a ‘big one’. Meanwhile, with worms or minnows, mom would reel in enough keepers to cook up a good supper. She let dad clean the fish though, as his participation award.

    A mighty seafaring man is our Andrew. The blood of generations of British seamen flows through those ethanol conduits of his.

    Guess there’s no Catch and Release laws where they’re fishing…

    Maybe the chef at their hotel will use Flo’s haul for the Catch of the Day?

    One of the great things about living in a port city on the Pacific coast of South America is the plentitude of good fish, crabs, and shrimp at cheap prices. We eat a lot of fresh fish and shrimp. I will occasionally do a Cajun-style crab boil for the family and of course etouffee!

    About the success he has at catching anything is the occasional pint. Oh, and catches a lot fists, with his face.

    @Afficionado

    No you do not sense romance in the air. I’m very happy the way I am. Young, Single, and most important of all… FREE.

    We did end up going to the beach because the Bar & Grill place we normally go to was closed for staff holidays. Opens again on the 30th.

    How many days exactly has it been since your thumb incident now? I remember when it first happened you were counting the days. Haha.

    Enjoy your favourite nosh, pal and have a great weekend as I won’t be here.

    With Andy’s luck, the only thing he’ll catch is an old boot.
