It is interesting that Mrs. Pye does not recognize her (ex) husband, but, perhaps it is his mustache giving him a more debonair appearance compared to when she knew him? :)
I find the interaction between Mr. and Mrs. Pye to be entertaining and interesting. The three dullard sons…. not so much. If Mrs. Pye has a bit of a soft spot in her heart for the good times there must have been before he left… perhaps she will take him back… could be an interesting story, and I suspect that Mr. Pye would not mind a bit of consistency at his age, and a more stable life, and a comfortable bed, and a potentially willing bedroom partner. At his age, I suspect he would be damn happy for all of the above.
