USAians tend to take not enough vacation time. You need 1½ day to travel and get situated to your lodgings. Another ½ day to start to adjust to any time zone differences. Then time to explore your vacation place depending on the type of vacation you are having 5 â 8 days. Then a day to realize that you have to go back. Then 2 days to run around doing everything you didnât do but had planned. Then another day to realize that you have to pack tomorrow to go back. Then a day to buy all the souvenirs you were going to buy an d eat all the local food you were going to eat. Then to pack and get to the point of debarkation and travel back. Then a day to do laundry and adjust to the time zone change and then a fitful night realizing that you have to go back to work tomorrow. You need another day to decompress from your vacation at least. YMMV.
Rarely do you have a drogue chute to deploy and help you back to the office. The old statement of âneed a vacation from my vacation!â is very true.

Take it slow; first 2 or 3 days back are the adjustment period.

Why are cartoonists only aware of office jobs?
Do they even know how many other types of absolutely essential jobs there are?
