    Since Covid it has become common for the customer, not the cashier, to handle credit cards. But I’ll grant there are still places where that isn’t true.

    However, perfectly good cards get declined all the time. They may be work the second time, and it may work on the swipe after the chip is declined three times. This is becoming common…

    And I find bit odd the cashier is just swiping. Maybe the machine is saying, “Hey it’s a chip card, insert it!” Or you could try taping it for touchless payment. Cashier appears an idiot.

    Why I have 2 cards, ya never know when some loser outfit is going to get hacked and my card info get stolen.
