I can remember lots of old useless trivia, and yet sometimes I can’t remember what I had for breakfast….

… still got my Hoppy thermos.

As young, almost adults, we used to occasionally challenge each other to name all the TV (b&w, of course) steeds: Roy Rogers, Wild Bill Hickok, Gene Autry … Zorro. Oh yes, and Dale Evans’ horse, too!

I still have a Hopalong Cassidy Plate, Mug and Bowl!

The horse was named Topper.

Living in Maine, which only got its first TV station in 1953, I didn’t generally see Hopalong Cassidy, but even I knew this one.
