In 1964 a General Mills employee chopped a Circus Peanut into bits and added them to a bowl of Cheerios and thusly Lucky Charms was invented. To this day, any cereal which boasts “marshmallows” is just bits of freeze-dried marshmallow candy using the same formula as Circus Peanuts.

Aaaahhhhh!
Feed ’em to the squirrels?
Roast them on a stick? (now I’m wondering if this might be possible.)

Vaguely remember those and they were awful. The peanuts had a weird candy-like coating. :-p

Had to look those up. “Peanut shaped marshmallow candy”.
Maybe I once knew what they were, and suppressed the memory.

Those things were nasty. Had an odd after taste. They sure didn’t taste like marshmallows.
