Crows can mimic human speech if they are taught under specific conditions. No, you do not have to split it’s tongue to enable it to speak. That is a myth. I have always loved talking birds. My aunt was in a store that had a talking bird, a myna bird. When she went up to the cage to get a closer look at the bird it said, “Go to hell! Go to hell!” Somebody had taken the time and effort to teach it that. :-)

Wait a sec. The captain’s a Crow also. No fair punking your own kind.

It didn’t end well for a troublesome one in ‘A shot in the dark’.

That’s weird. The crows here in Canada usually make a distinctive Caw Caw sound.

I was totally expecting something else.

Overboard is getting weirder and weirder!

I’m surprised the Captain was able to get that close to the crow before hearing it. Usually they’re the first to announce the presence of someone approaching.

And speaking of crows, Hollow Kingdom by Kira Jane Buxton is a fabulously entertaining novel narrated by a pet crow named ST (short for Shit Turd)….Think zombie apocalypse from the animals’ perspective…. Very very funny-

There are crows that have scared me in the past!
