Maybe Farley’s been asleep on Phil’s bed, and he didn’t think it needed mentioning. I’d think I’d remember this stuff from when these ran the first time, but I don’t.

If you think about it, Phil and Farley have a lot in common except Farley doesn’t raid the beer from the fridge.

I am not sure why everyone beats up on Phil so much. He seems very much like a heckuva lot of younger, single guys I knew and hung around with over the years. His heart is in the right place, even if some of his actions end up being a bit misguided. I have always enjoyed the character of Phil in this comic.

No, we know how you became part of our family. Now if you could just run off…

As someone who loves animals more than humans, I am disgusted at their surprise.

@rowena28, Yes, I agree, how could they be surprised to realize Farley is a real part of the family, not just a “pet”. My cats and dogs are very important to me and I love them. If anyone takes exception to that, it’s their loss.

My cockatoo will always be my soulmate and will be cremated with me (died after 23 years as my companion) and my little Timneh will go with me tomorrow (even staying in a cage) at an event where pets ar not allowed, because I’m still waiting for AC repair and can’t leave him here in 100F.

Our dog is very much a part of our family! The only people in our lives who truly understand our feelings are other pet parents. Everyone else just shakes their head and looks at us as though we were nuts! But who cares?! My “little one” loves her “Momma” and “Daddy” and is completely devoted to us. Not everyone can even say that about children they actually gave birth to!
