For a minute there, I thought Horace was in “The Picture of Doric Gray.”

At 67, I’m not quite as old as the Parthenon, but I can definitely relate.

I don’t see any bacon……

I got a Library of Alexandria type sitiation.

Horace! Look on the bright side…you’re 4 pillars are still young and in good shape…keep on galloping

Many of these structures survived centuries and are now being corroded away by industrial pollutants in the air. Take care of your lungs.

Houyhnhnms have total control over their biology and can live forever. Horace is a bad boy and refuses to learn the old ways of protoplasmic shape-shifting and life extension. (Horace thinks he is a renegade against the “old ways” of his people as a good thing. George Orwell viewed the Houyhnhnm society as one whose members try to be as close to dead as possible while alive and matter as little as possible in life and death.4 This is what Horace believes as well. He may die young, but happy if he wants to. Fortunately for the race of Houyhnhnms, Horace is a rarity.)

I expect some respect from my food.
