Even Stupendous Man would be afraid of his mom .

If he had a modern suitcase with wheels, he could ride it downhill.

Not to fear, he’ll be down at the corner. Calvin isn’t allowed to cross the street by himself.

Flight could be interpreted as a confession of guilt…

Just hope that no-one mentions the noodle incident.

I know how he feels. After all these years I still remember the parent/teacher conferences. You get two days off from school but you can’t enjoy them because you know when your teacher and mother meet you’re in deep trouble. Once I went with my mother to the conference and stayed on the playground while she went in to talk to the teacher. I couldn’t even play because I knew I’d be in trouble. When she came out I asked what the teacher said and she growled, “We’ll talk about it at home!”

Calvin, that’s just going to anger her even more!

When’s the next bus leaving for Antarctica?

Does anybody else think it’s a little weird that the school would have Parent-Teacher Conferences when the school year had barely started? By that I mean, in my experiences, the school year began at the end of August and they would have Parent-Teacher Conferences in early November.

It is amazing how running from trouble can be so much trouble.

That Miss Wormwood just made up those horror stories, right?

Calvin’s parents have never laid a hand on him, what’s he so scared of? Now if he had my parents he best catch a train and fast.

“Wormwood does not like me and is biased against me. She blames me for everything that happens in the classroom.”

You don’t have to leave, Calvin. Just hand both of them the folder with Memo 618 in it. Problems solved.

I empathize with Calvin. Been there done that, several times.

Pretty serious if he is leaving Hobbes behind…maybe he is the “fall guy?”

I wonder what that suitcase belonging to a six year old would contain.

Calvin may have a point; but on TV when someone on a cop show says ‘I need a lawyer’, it’s not a good sign.
