Kitties never get to know their daddies, or even know who their daddies are. They can get a close bond with their mommies, though. My Cassie had kittens in June 2014 and they are all still very bonded with each other (mom and all 5 kids). They sleep together and groom each other all the time. It’s not uncommon for me to wake up in the morning with Cassie and all of her kids sleeping in a cluster on my bed. I love seeing how close they all are to each other even after 6 years.

From yesterday’s comments to Katzi428 – Welcome to our “family”! By the way, we call ourselves “Graham Crackers” because we love Graham, the cartoonist, and we’re all sort of “crackers”. Thanks for the belated happy birthday wishes. I had a very pleasant birthday.

Today is:

National Chocolate Pecan Pie Day. I’m not a fan of pecan pie and besides, I still have cake left (watermelon too!)

National Radio Day. Maybe I should honor the day by listening to some of my tapes of old radio shows. I have Fibber McGee & Molly, The Great Gildersleeve, Amos & Andy, Burns & Allen, Our Miss Brooks, Life With Riley and some others. As you can see, I love the comedies best. I used to listen to them on my car stereo while driving to and from work, but they don’t put tape decks in cars anymore. In fact, they don’t put CD players in cars anymore either, but I have an older car so I have the CD player.

Nice to see that Chesney has a soft side. Love it.

Always hope to catch the episode of Gomer Pyle when he sang that song.

I always knew Chesney was a “softie” even though he tries to act like a tough guy! :-D Every now and then that sweetness shows itself.

My dad HATED that song. Still don’t know why

I still hear my father’s voice occasionally, like when I stop at a gas station while traveling and buy a bottle of water. “You paid a dollar for WHAT?”

I have the LROS syndrome…my a/c went out at 7:15 last night. I could feel the change immediately.Brad was asleep but got up an hour later complaining. He checked the outside unit and agreed with me thatit’s probably the fan condenser motor. (that was installed in May 2009).He was still complaining after we opened the windows so I told him to run over to one of the hotels; there are 4 brand new ones near us, one right down the street. And it was dirt cheap since it was “day of”.He said no.

I sent an email to the company that did the other motor and then called them when they opened at 8. So far, no response to email or a call back. So, I just called another company and she’ll have someone out in a couple of hours.

Dennis is missing…has been for a couple of days. Yoo hoo….

Well, well, look like Chesney isn’t such a sourpuss after all. Looks like he actually has a soft side. (Of course, he’d prefer that Annie didn’t know that.) On another note, saw a millipede and a dragonfly outside today. :)
