I love Autumn! The dusting of changing colors on the trees starting about now. Then there will be small flurries of falling leaves. Rain will then get into the mix. Sidewalks will get “tea stains” from the wet leaves. The wind will expose these giant pieces of art… only to get washed away with the next shower. Where it all starts again!
But I am NOT looking forward to Winter. Winter is Cold and Flu Season. That means the mutations of COVID start to work all over again. Stay vigilant folks! Keep your Masks On!
Wow, I had no idea how much the font affects the feel of the strip. I’m sure it’s easier to paste in digital text, but the handwritten speech bubbles seemed somehow warmer and fits the “voice” of the strip better. Ah, well.
The Mountain Ash in our area are so loaded down with berries. This means they are growing lots of food for the birds during a harsh winter. At least I have a good excuse this winter for staying home.
Around here the leaves are falling because the trees are all starved for water. Our summer monsoon consisted of three days of slight rainfall the first week of July and near record heat every day since May. Even the weeds are stunted and/or dead.

Yup, I saw the first of the leaves change from green to golden the other day. End of August is definitely here.

In my area, the leaves are falling early due to prolonged drought.

I’d settle for temps in the low 80s F.

Hopefully 2021 will bring a bright light to our country. God knows it’s been a Traumatic, dark journey.

We still have to get past the possible asteroid impact on November 2nd. If that doesn’t happen, then there is the election the next day.

The Birch in my yard started dropping leaves a month ago, then we got a cold front in August, a week before Hurrycane Laura.
