Good morning, afternoon, evening, and night early readers! I really, really hate modern Mrs. Godfrey. At least in the past she had actual reasons to put Nate in detention.

Nate, have you ever heard of a SILENT yawn?

Why is Mrs. Godfrey so dumb these days at Nate like sometimes Francis and Teddy got detention for no reason.

That was a very forced and harsh reason to give Nate a detention. I suppose next she’s going to give him a detention for dropping his pencil on the floor, having his textbook opened to the wrong chapter, or maybe even give him a detention for saying the wrong answer to a question. It’s no wonder why so many people are afraid of making mistakes because people like Mrs. Godfrey are disciplining people over the most insignificant reasons.

C’mon, I do “theatrical stretching” when I get up after a nap! So wrong…

Lol, this is the reason why Mrs Godfrey is at the bottom of my tier list of Big Nate characters. XD

He’lo and Good morning, I have a question for y’all. Have you ever been in trouble for nothing or for little reason? I mean, I have detention for doing nothing but writing notes like the rest of the class, the teacher just pointed at me. Explain the problem and why you got in trouble.

How is that theatrical? That’s pretty much how I normally stretch.

I think it was originally always for a good reason but then Peirce prolly started getting complains that she’s not that bad and everyone hates her too much so Peirce made her the meanest person ever. Still an occasionally funny character

The True Reason: Nate was disrupting the class by doing that action. He needs to do it quietly, and to himself. This is a social studies class, not a theater, note the “theatrical” part in the detention slip.
