Maybe just a bit “fancier” than “tough”….

Bit of a tornado roared close to me Thursday evening. Missed me . . . power was out for two hours (because lots of folks got hit worse). My PTSD recovering-feral Gandalf was quite nervy from all the flashing and banging (constant lightning), and the heavy blowing rain. My elderly princess Angel doesn’t care what goes on outside if I’m with her (of course, she might not be able to hear the noises outside very well).

My deck umbrella (down) really rocked and strained at the table and 50-lb cast iron base it’s tied to, so I was a bit worried about glass doors/windows. Not safe to go outside at that point.

Locally, there were just some branches down and a couple exposed decorative trees snapped. In the path of the EF-1 tornado, big trees were down.

two of mine aren’t the least bit frightened of thunderstorms. Neither is the other one, of course, but he’s best friends with the underside of the bed and he worries it might be frightened.
