My understanding from here in Wisconsin (1500 miles away from salt water in any direction) is that severe weather hits beach-front properties often enuf that they’ve developed storm shutters and other protections that are always available to be easily closed against the elements when things get serious.
Great timing for this one. I know they have a long lead time, so there’s no way Meddick could have known that today would find one hurricane about to hit the Gulf Coast and three more waiting in the wings.
