They say suffering is good for the soul, and misery loves company. I think you’ve killed two birds with one stone, Kate. (see, there’s even some math in all these cliches)

Two twins with one computer, learning together? What about families with three or four kids all needing separate computers, and probably separate rooms for their Zooming? And working parents. Who stays home to keep them in line, fix lunch, etc. It’s quite the mess.

What about the basic needs of children to be interactive with their peers? Computers can’t replace human contact.

Our public schools in town are doing the remote “learning”, but our Parochial schools are open with a lot of new enrollees. Sad thing is the kids that truely need face to face schooling can’t afford to pay for it. Thank you, fear mongering. Parents individually need to have the CHOICE if they personally want remote or in person learning. What this is going to cause is an even wider gap in the knowledge level between the poor and the rest of society. You can bet the politicians are sending their kids to private schools or have tutors.

Right about now the kids probably think so too.
