    Small technicality. In real life, the vase would have fallen away from the clock chime rather than fall sideways from the clock’s viewpoint.

    Back in my ol’ hometown up north, a luxury apartment building went up in the 1990s, right next to a bell tower that had been operating since the 1850s. Somehow, the residents (and the building’s owners) won a court case to have the hourly BONGing stopped.
