This is for real. One school district here in Central Florida texted parents with info about NOT giving their kids the answers (and also included a dress code! Apparently, some parents walk past their students wearing little or nothing…)
Yesterday, I met a sister & brother at my father’s grave to commemorate his birthday, his first since he died in June. When I left, my girls were still “in school”. My younger one held out her arm for a hug. Thinking that she was off-camera, I hugged her. I caught a glimpse of her screen…we were on camera. (Is it odd that I feel honored that she didn’t mind hugging me in front of the whole class?)
Husband’s sister does not really use a computer nor does her husband. They have one in the house. When SIL asked husband about copying the photos from the 2 drawers filled with data cards from her camera he was showing her how to do this (2 years ago). He said to her two daughters – one in elementary school and the other in high school – why they did not help her – they did not know how to copy files!
And then they had to go to school on Zoom and none of then knew what to do.

It is hard not to blurt out when you know-even when you are in class and the dummy next to you doesn’t know a thing.

Another challenge is when parents realize they don’t know the answer.
