    Stroke, Will. Gently stroke.

I don’t like being patted on my head, a joy of being really short, so I don’t think pets like it any better.

I will stick with the two cats who insist on getting my attention by standing on me.

Petting yourself is like tickling yourself. It just doesn’t work.

I love sticking my face into the fur around my dogs’ necks…but only for a moment. They don’t like it as much as I do so I don’t do it often or for long. They graciously put up with it. If news is really bad, taking a long walk listening to good music or playing in the yard together is much better.

Petting one’s self rarely will have the desired long term effect, but can give short term satisfaction…..

Not “got”.. you “are” the secret weapon.. now, if you would just take a big bite out of trumps butt.. add a touch of rabies if you can, and I can guarantee that the stress level would go down several notches.

That’s why cats groom themselves at times of indecision or of stress, in addition to simple hygiene grooming.

I discovered that the Stress Ball isn’t actually designed to be thrown at the person who stressed you. Strange Huh!
