One of his many nicknames is Beast

It appears all the wild beasts are perched precariously on a lamp. Embarrassing. Like having a pretty girl say “Hi handsome.” and you look around to see who she is talking to.

The beasts are probably the cats.

This is soooo cute…look at Annie’s face. They are adorably clueless.

I had a job a few decades ago where there was a quartz-halogen lamp next to my desk that looked like the ones the dogs are sitting on (except much more modern). When lunch time rolled around, I would turn the lamp down to it’s lowest setting and it was perfect for toasting a bagel. The only drawback was if I didn’t clean the screen covering the bulb off every time, there would be a lot of smoke from burning crumbs after I turned the lamp back up.

There be beasts and it is they.

I think he was referring to you two. Or maybe, the cats.
