If they met in person, spider would try to kill and eat Buzzkill, right?

Even when you are miles apart, your friendship is still real. When a friend disappears, you still feel that worry and loss, especially in times like these. And some of us know the heartbreak of discovering that the reason we haven’t heard from an on-line friend is that they have passed on. (Rest in peace, Skykey and Mrs. Skykey – we never met in the real world, but you are sorely missed.)

Yes! You can’t decide if you want to contact them and get no reply/find out the worst, or just keep praying they’re safe & afraid to call/text your number ditto. Thankfully, all of us-ins have either not gotten it, or been minorly ill with this vershuggenah virus. Our prayers are with the survivors and the left behinds.

This is an amazing depiction of the social media I know. True friendships are made, even when the two friends are miles apart. What matters is that they can just talk to each other, help each other. For me, the comment section of various places has been a haven from the world, and the heckhole that is my life. It’s where my fear of being judged just leaves, because there are people that share my interests, people that won’t judge me based on what they’ve heard about me. And honestly, talking in the comments has actually helped me develop social skills irl. So sure, there may be some big toxic places that are what most people {ahemscientistsahem} see in social media, but looking deeper, you find a place of wonder.

Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk

Yes, there are people that just ‘disappear’ and you miss them. They don’t realize what impact they had on us. And sometimes we don’t either….until they are gone.

Aww. Online friends are real friends. I’ve come to know many people on GoComics over the years.

It’s important to make face-to face friendships. Go to a local coffee shop (CC?). see if someone’s in an online game. Make a friend.
