Heeeeeey, Knotty! I was wondering if you were going to pop up this storyarc too.
As for the rest, well…lawyers gotta lawyer, I suppose. Honestly, I’m not that surprised. Given the sort of things a witch of an anchor can do, I can see how there’d be legal matters to sort out over it, both for the witch themselves, and for the city in charge of overseeing it.
Still…doesn’t mean that’s all fun to deal with, and I think Madam Mayor had hoped to keep them out for this first meeting so to discuss things over first on how she wanted this to work. No good getting to meet the local witch finally if the lawyers just turn around and scare him off again, after all.
Mal, Ben, & Wolfe have gone up against destructive spirits, demons of sin, villainous wizards, and American gangsters with guns, all leading to this moment, the ultimate enemies – lawyers and bureaucracy. Hopefully, they’re tough enough to survive what’s about to go down.

you get a place to live and you. get. PAID. Looks as though all the ends are coming together.

Those lawyers were going to mention those things, right? I mean, they are listed somewhere in all of that paperwork, aren’t they?

I can see one of the reasons he didn’t want to come forward. YIKES

Ben … and Wolfe & Mal … seem a little skittish about unread contracts. I wonder why. ;)

I wonder what Knotty looks like in Mal-vision. I bet Eliza’s spirit is female.

Representing the Witch of Widdershins is going to look great on Knotty’s resume.

Clearly the lawyers were not prepared for the Witch of Widdershins to have any legal representation of his own.
Then again, neither was O’Malley…

There’s a new hero in town. And his name is Vincent Knott, Student of Law.

I shudder to think what the lawyers’ auras look like…
