I sympathize with Sophie. I was standing right behind a classmate who made a similar remark about me. “Oh. Sorry.”

Alice puts her 4th wall anywhere she wants to. Not everyone else can see it.

Uh no, I’m sorry Alice but Sofia isn’t the weird one…

Go as each other! One year, at the high school where I taught, we had “reverse dress-up” day close to Halloween where students dressed as teachers and teachers dressed as students. Good, clean, fun! (But I got tired of holding my pants up with one hand all day!)

Sofie reminds me of how Bertie Wooster (of P.G. Wodehouse fame) described his valet, Jeeves — when most needed “he shimmered into sight.”

Good for Sofie. Alice can be a little too cocky about her position in the world, and planting some doubt is good for her….
