Wrong. The rock with more MASS WILL fall faster, if by a bazillionth of a second. Sure, the Earth pulls on both at the same rate, but the rocks also pull on the Earth, so you have to factor in their mass and gravitational constant. Sure, it’s tiny compared to Earth’s, but physics are physics.
My gut says Galileo nailed it. He may not have actually dropped rocks off the leaning tower of Pisa, but he asked you to think about what would happen if you tied two smaller rocks together at opposite ends of a piece of rope. Would they fall any faster together than they would separately? And if you tied a small rock to a big one, would the small one (falling slower, according to your gut) hold the big one back, making it fall slower than it would solo?
I still remember a video from one of the moon landings where an astronaut dropped a feather and a hammer, and they both hit the moon’s surface at the same time. No atmosphere, so no friction to slow the fall of the feather. It was a pretty amazing science presentation.

Drop each one on your hand, and see if your gut says one falls faster than the other…..

Reminds me of my kids homework experiments. The results were always the opposite of what they were supposed to be. Ever do the egg drop off the roof?

The big one’s bulky. It’s probably slow.
