If you feel more comfortable wearing a mask, go for it. If you do not feel comfortable going out into public, by all means, stay home. We all have to do what we think makes us safe. There is a certain segment of the population that absolutely needs to be protected. Most of the rest of the population can weather the storm. Don’t force the rest of the population to do things, especially things like wearing a mask that does very little to stop the spread. Most of the rest of the population needs to go on with their lives.

Wearing a mask doesn’t protect you from other people’s disease as much as it protects other people if you have a disease. Not wearing one doesn’t show how brave you are, it just shows that you either don’t understand the situation or you just value your freedom more than my life.

Thanks Jenny Campbell. People are dying because some Nadine failed to mask and comics are a well known source of information for those who might not get it otherwise.

You mention protecting the vulnerable. How do you suggest that we do it? Isolation?

For instance, people in nursing homes? They can’t live in a protected bubble because of all the staff that work there. The staff needs to be protected too. They can’t just “stay home”.. And when they go to do essential chores, they know that wearing a mask will do little to protect them from the virus.

That’s because the MAIN PURPOSE OF A MASK is to limit the range of any virus coming out of your body, which in turn helps prevent its spread.

If you truly want to protect the vulnerable, please wear a mask.

The reason why masks don’t work is because every person doesn’t wear them. Simple. But now that Trump has the virus & he has been given all these experimental drugs that haven’t been approved by the FDA & since they wouldn’t have given the President these if they weren’t sure they were safe, & he is doing so well because of these drugs, do you suppose Trump will push thru the approval so we, the general public will also get access to these miracle drugs he was given? It would certainly be a smart move on his part…would almost certainly guarantee his re-election.

I don’t like masks. When home alone my wife and I don’t wear them. When we go out though we feel obligated to wear them for the common good.

I will not let my parents see my new baby because they do not wear masks and don’t social distance.
