    I heard tell of a stable in San Mateo county that on weekends and weekdays during the summer where children who wanted ponies or horses could stay and learn how to care for the animals, including cleaning the stables and feeding and brushing. Turns out 70% of the kids who went through that decided to not want to own an equine. Parents said it was worth it. I am sure Adam can find a stable in the area that would be more than happy to let Katy muck out a stall or three before she takes a pony ride.
