Once again, a little over 10 years ago, Richard posted a blog entry regarding this and yesterday’s strips:

A pretty neat one, right here. Alice’s sulky faces are great cartooning, and part of why Bill Watterson was so wise to recognize Richard’s great talent when he did.

If Loris Slothrop ate enough Halloween candy, she might approach light speed. No doubt this is why her father suggested she go as a neutrino.

Funny how things turn out for the best when you approach it with the “right” attitude.

With the intensified lock-down, no trick or treaters last night.

Many houses on my block left candy out front in a bucket. The kids came up and took a piece, no personal contact. This pandemic sucks!!

And she didn’t have to change her mind about the pangolin costume.

    Revenge of the Sulky!

    What a great Halloween monster-story!

I tell you what, fer sure, I wouldn’t Trick or Treat the Otterloop’s house, and that’s the truth!

Same here. No trick or treaters. But I swear, no one was making faces at the window.

Even more relevant this year, when most kids had to stay home. Trick or Treating was in decline, COVID-19 may have put the last nail in the coffin lid.

Our street held a local trick or treat for the local kids only. I think that our granddaughters ended up with more candy than usual because of the amounts each house was giving. We were able to spring for the good candy because of the small number of scary little visitors.
