One girl in my sixth grade class went up to the teacher because she was trying to read the word āembarrassedā and couldnāt figure out how to pronounce it. He was trying to get her to sound it out and she wasnāt getting it right. So then he goes (loud enough to get the attention of the whole class and doing what heās saying at the same time) āOK, what if I take you by the wrist here and hold you up here, making a spectacle of you, and your face starts turning all beet redā¦.etc. How do you feel now?ā Then she got it.

I use spell check, but not autocorrect. That way Iām alerted to any problems, but donāt have a word turned into something I hadnāt intended.

I use spelling checker. Spellcheck is for Harry Potter.

That spell check can get you in trouble two, especially if the word isnāt misspelled. And itās addressed to Miss Pelled.

I used to have trouble with it, but I always remember now by using āEmā ābarā ārassā.
