I’ve read that if you look between a person’s eyebrows they think you’re making eye contact. A nice little cheat.

Ever since I was little, I’ve always had great trouble looking someone in the eyes. It has always been a shy thing with me and even todayI have yet to completely get over it. Often I had to force myself to do it and found that it wasn’t to bad. I would glance to one sidefrom time to time as to not stare to much. Hope I can someday get better st it. I know how Gordon must feel when he approaches Allyson to speak with her.

Just a question. Is it a double entendre when the guy in blue is saying, “When your eyes meet you ask her with complete confidence to go out with you,” his eyes are closed? (And her eyes are closed when he asks.)

Is ‘Gordo’ really in the ‘here and now’ ???

I have never had a problem with eye contact. It was sharing emotions that was the barrier.

No she doesn’t turn and particularly she does not smile. Unless you slip and fall on your way over to her. She ignores you just like she always does. Work on that scenario. I’m asking for a friend.

In the second panel, I should have written: “She turns, she looks at you…” because as it is, it ruins the punchline. NOW I can see the mistake!

The teen years are so difficult.

Almost looks like Lynn’s breaking the fourth wall in the fourth panel, but she doesn’t do that.

Tracey should go up and just give him a major kiss, then walk away and watch him collapse

He should try group activities or double dating.

This current thread.. is so true for so many. Perhaps it’s different now but 60 years ago, I can relate.

Even with a stand in, girls turn Gordo to mush.

These boys are real jerks to treat any girl this way. Tracey should walk away and ignore them.
