We need more comics about Ludwig. Jimmy should consider a spin off. He could call it Loodie Toons.

There’s no need to pay him ; your abject slavery to his every whim is payment enough.

A cat wouldn’t know what to do with money. Something, something, human invention, something, established power differentials, something, mostly spent on goods that are soon destroyed along with their value. Idk, it’s late and I’m too tired to think, but not tired enough to fall asleep yet.

We give dogs time we can spare, space we can spare and love we can spare. And in return, dogs give us their all. It’s the best deal man has ever made.

True for all pets. I would add “the food we can spare”

One wonders who Ludwig was in his last incarnation.

The affection we get from our 4 cats is priceless, if we were going to pay them it would be for their daily entertainment value

To the readers that committed that they did not understand this comic, don’t worry. Based on all the comments, nobody understood this one! Those that tried to explain it and failed just didn’t want to admit they didn’t understand it. Humans have an aversion to saying I DON"T KNOW! The religious are the worst! For thousands of years, religion has claimed it knows the why the universe is here and how it was created. However, the best minds in the science community don’t know why it’s here, However, they do have a good model of how it came into existence. And the reason science knows as much as they do is that the “I Don’t Know” drives them to find out real answers instead of just making up an answer.

That’s true if you don’t have any mice in the house.

Support staff (and scene extras) are rarely revive good pay. Even when that pay is in the form of tuna in gravy.

I’m reading this with one cat purring and kneading blissfully in my lap and the other two occupying their favorite pieces of furniture. I haven’t seen some of my friends since covid shut down everything in March and local fires made the air unbreathable for weeks. The cats are a bit of sanity, entertainment, and comfort everyday.

Pay him in smoked salmon.
