I spent the last 13 years doing mailings and I can say with authority that the USPS does not deliver about 2 percent of every mailing. This includes first class! We have to verify the addresses with USPS software before it’s sent out. Two or three months later it comes back marked no such address, and yet the address does exist. The local postmaster told us to just bring those pieces down and he would refund our money. But the money wasn’t the point; we wanted our mail delivered. With regards to the mail in ballots, there’s NO WAY to know that your vote counted, unless you go to the polls.
Got our ballot the day after they were mailed. Dropped them off at the County Clerk’s on Friday. There are two other drop boxes between our house and the County Clerk’s office, but we were going to Winco anyway.
When I was kid, I knew the mail mail and milk man by first and last names. We would set out out cookies for both several times a year and especially at Christmas.
Mail in ballots and absentee ballots are two different things. Mail in voting sends ballots to all registered voters. Absentee are requested by the voter.
For decades, we’ve been told to not send cash through the mail, as it was neither safe nor secure. Yet, somehow, it’s now okay to send in our votes through the mail. This does not compute.
My long-time mailman is also my city councilman. It seems like a conflict of interest to hand him my ballot. Does he remember how I voted for class president in HS? I don’t, but he didn’t win.
I applaud the studio behind Pluggers, the transition from Gary to Rick was flawless. unlike a certain outdoorsman writer strip that was taken over by graphic artist.
So all this mail that’s being found in dumpsters, ditches, garbage cans, etc…Is this an anomaly, or is this business as usual? I don’t trust a union that openly endorses a candidate.

Always had great service. Before will installed a new large mail box I consulted with the carrier. Model, position approved by him.

You’re a Plugger if you know your Postal workers first name, marital status, and if they’re a parent.

Pluggers belong to the generation when a man/woman’s word meant something.. Something subsequently lost

Not that I don’t trust the USPS but I always go by the county offices for voting when I am in town before THE day and deposit my ballot in person.

yeah, right…a true Plugger delivers his/her vote in person…

Say, I thought Pluggers ended a couple of months ago, or is it just a new artist?

Of course you can trust Carl. It’s Donald and Louis you have to be wary of.
